· Sliced ham and low-fat or fat-free cheese with mustard is great on rye bread.
· Low-fat cheese makes a good sandwich with tomato slices and mustard or fat-free mayonnaise on a whole-grain roll.
· Slice leftover pork tenderloin and top with barbecue sauce for a hot or cold sandwich.

This is consternation to many parents who want to have beautiful pictures of their little darlings. A word of advice...parents should take a lot of good pictures the first month!

While the appearance of acne on their sweet baby's face may be horrifying to proud parents, it really is generally of no serious health concern. These chemicals are toxic and cause allergies. Some studies connect these chemicals with cancer. They have also shown to have hormone-disrupting qualities by mimicking estrogen and causing problems in the endocrine system.

• Propylene glycol - This chemical derived from petroleum and is a synthetic product. Because it attracts water it is used in cosmetics as a surfactant, solvent and humectant. • Sodium laurel, lauryl sulfate (SLS), sodium laureth sulfate (SLES) - Is a white powder used in thousands of cosmetic products and non-cosmetic products. SLS is a strong degreaser that dries the skin and hair. It can also cause hair loss. Used in many products that are called natural as a result these products are not natural. This product is found in shampoos, toothpastes, lotions, and creams. It is also found in many car washes, engine degreasers, and garage floor cleaners. When combined Triethanolamine (TEA) it can become a nitrosamine, which is a potent class of carcinogen.

• Mineral Oil, Paraffin, and Petrolatum - Are hydrocarbons which come from petroleum products. On the skin, it is heavy and greasy and clogs pores. It is toxic and leads to skin issues. It disrupts natural skin grown causing skin aging. It is also suspected cause of cancer and disrupts hormonal activity. If take internally, it prevents the absorption of nutrient into the blood in the small intestines.

• Phenol carbolic acid, Phenolic compounds - Are used as a preservative and found in many lotions and skin creams. They are toxic and can cause paralysis, convulsions, coma and even death from respiratory failure.

• Benzoic Acid, sodium benzoate - is used as a preservative in cosmetics and foods. Often combined with sodium bisulfites, which are banned in some countries. This is a dangerous additive, since in low amounts it has been associated with brain damage, neurological disorders, and cancer.

• Dioxane PEG, Polysorbates, Laureth, ethoxylated alcohols - Found in many cosmetics and other personal care products. It is easily absorbed through the skin and has been found to be carcinogenic.

• BHA and BHT - Butylated hydroxyanisole and butylated hydroxytoluene. These chemicals are synthetic antioxidants used in foods and cosmetics. Please avoid them, since they are toxic and may contain toluene which quite toxic.

There are hundreds of other chemicals you should know about so that you can avoid them in the products you use. All of them create problems on your skin, cause internal organ damage, or create diseases - acetone, aluminum chemicals, amyl dimethyl para, chloroxylenol, butylenes glycol, diammonium citrate, formalin or formaldehyde, and list goes on.

Take 2 tbls. sugar, baby oil and liquid soap. Pour sugar and baby oil, enough to cover hands in the palm of your hand. Rub hands together, as you would rub when you apply a lotion. Do this for a few minutes, then pour on a little liquid soap and wash clean. Your hands will feel very smooth.

Rub one spoon of sugar, lemon juice and fresh cream into your hands till the sugar completely dissolves. This will surely be of some help.

Mix 1/2 cup of warm milk, 2 tsp sugar, 2 tsp plain yogurt and a few drops of lavender essential oil. Soak your hands in this mix for about 5 minutes. Scrub your hands gently and do a massage.

Solution made of salt and lemon also slough off dead skin cells. Brush the solution with an old toothbrush. Do this twice a week. This method will not only give you soft hands but also remove discoloration.
The easiest method would be to apply a rich hand cream or petroleum jelly (Vaseline or generic) at night and wear gloves over them while you sleep. This locks the moisture in. Waken with softer hands.

If you have oily skin, wash the face twice a day with a non-soap cleanser made for oily skin. It seems logical that by using a soap cleanser you can wash away the oil, but the opposite is true. By washing the face too hard or too much, it can prompt the face to make more oil to replenish it back to its usual state. Washing the face with a cleanser designed for oily skin allows the face to be cleansed, but without losing valuable moisture.

If you're prone to breakouts, try using a cleanser with salicylic acid, which calms inflamed skin and also cleans out pores to prevent acne. Salicylic acid can be drying though, so use it in moderation.

Depending on how your face feels after cleansing, you may or may not need a moisturizer. If your skin already feels soft and hydrated, you don't need to add moisturizer. If your face feels tight or dry, add an oil-free or non-pore clogging moisture cream to your face. Look for words like Oil-free or Non-comedogenic, which just mean non-pore-clogging.

After you cleanse your face, apply a mattifying gel or lotion. These products usually contain silica or clay to soak up excess oil. Deep-set eyes: Use a lighter foundation color immediately above the socket area of the upper eyelids and blend with the foundation color. Do not use eye shadow as the sunken effect will increase instead of decreasing.

Drooping: They can be given a lift by tilting the eyeline upwards and outwards before it reaches the outer corner of the upper lip. The shadow should be winged upwards avoiding the area at the outer corner of the eyes.

Round eyes: Make them appear larger by extending eye shadow beyond the outer corner of the eyes.

Bulging eyes: Use a dark shadow and blend it carefully over the prominent part of the upper lids carrying it lightly to the line of the brows.

Small eyes: They can look larger by using two kinds of Shadow. Use the brown shadow on the lip creases after applying beige to the lids.

Sagging under eye tissues: Rub a very thin coating of Unbeaten egg white into the area with your fingertips. Allow it to dry and then apply makeup foundation very carefully over it.

The lined areas directly under the eyes are temporarily smoothed by the drying effects of the egg white. But be sure to use oil afterwards on this area, after you have removed the egg white because egg white has a drying effect on the skin. I should warn you this coat will only last for 3 hours.

1. Prep your eyes with concealer Concealer can be used to cover up undereye circles or just the bluish discoloration just under your inner eye. The scalp should be clean before oiling the hair. Do brush hair as a daily routine, with firm downward strokes. Wet hair should not be brushed, as hair is weak when it is wet, and breaks easily. Take 2 tblspns of Beetroot juice and add 1 egg and 1 tspn limejuice to this. Apply and leave for ½ an hour before washing.

Tips 8:
Oil hair well before going to bed. Next morning mix 1 tspn limejuice with ½ tspn salt. Rub this on the scalp with the peel of a lime turned inside out. Leave for 1 hour before shampooing.
